This New Netflix Series is gaining popularity in other countries. Only a week after its release, it ranked 5th worldwide in the TV Shows category and 1st in the Philippines. But, does the show live up to the hype? LET'S GET STARTED!
(Please keep in mind that this blog is solely my opinion of the show) What do you think about this drama? I'd be delighted to hear it! please leave a comment ^^
First and foremost, I'd like to thank Netflix for producing this show, which is an absolute masterpiece (thank you netflix).
So my obsession with this drama began when I saw the trailer. It has a magical, fantasy-like feel to it. It was so good that I watched all of the episodes in a row and finished it in one sitting.
This show's genre includes "musical" which piques my interest because I enjoy musical dramas. The show began at school with students singing and blending their voices (it's fire though).
The first episodes depict the life of the Main Character (Yoon Ah-Yi), a part-time student working in a convenience store. She's a disillusioned adolescent dealing with harsh realities, and her character is pitiful.
He met this man named Ri-Eul in the middle of the night and introduced himself as a 'magician'. This self-proclaimed magician has taken up residence in an abandoned theme park.
Before performing his so-called magic, the magician always says, "Do you believe in magic?" and "Annara Sumanara."
The last three episodes will be extremely perplexing. The final episode of this show is the episode that I'll never forget because it made me cry like a river. But don't worry, it's not so Twenty-five Twenty-one ending (lol). There was only one scene in an episode that made me really cry.
The actors do an excellent job, especially Ji Chang Wook. His expression captivated me. Hwang Inyeop and Choi Sung Eun, on the other hand, nailed it.
This drama is about more than just magic and unrealistic things; it also discusses society's standards, mental health, and lectures you about real-life situations.
The magician encourages Ah-Yi and Il-Deung to believe in magic and to dream about what they want. He forces them to pursue their own dreams rather than those of others.
A rollercoaster ride with many tearjerking moments and a flawless Final Performance. Overall, a fantastic drama, 11/10.
"MAGIC DOESN'T CREATE MIRACLES, BUT ALLOWS YOU TO DISCOVER THEM" — ah-yi (the sound of magic)
